We have got our Video Server up and running. After many hours of research, planning, and allot of work on programing, our proof of concept is done. While almost all our cameras are NTSC CCTV cams and limited to 640x 480 interlaced image, the sever is completely capable of much much higher resolutions even exceeding the ATSC HiDef standard.
We are breaking new ground as nothing like this has been attempted by any other group. I have been working with a camera manufacturer for the last four months now on a all digital camera that we can exchange the sensor on and support at the moment up to 3MP at a full 30 frames per second.

We have just received some more gear :) So we now have a dedicated power supply for all the camera gear and IR lighting, a portable monitor to be able to focus in all the cameras, High gain mics to go with each camera, and more cameras. The recording server is pretty much next on the list, I did have a spare computer for this but turns out that the mainboard manufacturer produced it with a buggy BIOS, so it's really of no use and I'll have to buy a replacement. Also got some racks to go in our trailer to mount all the equipment.
Lets add to this, more gear going on order including a Gaussmeter, and a Trifield Meter.Â
Also have a 3000 Watt AC inverter to go in the trailer so we can run on battery in remote locations.
